Maamwizing 2026: Indinawemaaganag (All Our Relations) – Honouring the Connections That Sustain Us

In honouring the sacred connections that tie us to the land, the water, the skies, and to one another we are currently seeking proposals for keynote speakers, workshops, social events, panel discussions, creative/art-based sessions, individual papers, and poster exhibits that address any of the following areas:

  • Indigenous community-driven research projects that honor and strengthen our relations with land, water, language, governance systems, kinship networks, and cultural practices.

  • Land-based education that centers reciprocal relationships with the natural world and traditional teachings.

  • Language revitalization as a pathway to reconnecting with ancestral knowledge and worldviews.

  • Community governance and kinship law that reflect Indigenous legal traditions and nation-building.

  • Food sovereignty and traditional medicines as expressions of our relationship with the land and our responsibility to future generations.

  • Indigenous history and storytelling that preserve and transmit knowledge across generations.

  • Health and wellness through the lens of mind, body, and spirit connections.

  • Youth perspectives on maintaining and renewing relationships within Indigenous communities.

We welcome proposals that explore how these areas intersect and support one another within the framework of All Our Relations.
